Additional Disclosure Information

Important information about Mickey Health

Mickey Health Is Independent

Mickey Health is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Epic Systems, MyChart, UCSF Health, UC Davis Health, Sutter Health, or any hospital or health system. Mickey Health is a third-party app that connects to your MyChart account with your permission.

Your Choice to Connect

Connecting your MyChart account to Mickey Health is entirely optional. You choose whether to authorize Mickey Health to access your health information. You are not required to use Mickey Health to access your health records—you can always view your records directly through your MyChart account.

Ongoing Data Updates

If you grant persistent access to Mickey Health, your health data may continue to update automatically as new information becomes available in your MyChart account. This means:

  • New lab results, medications, and other health information may appear in Mickey Health without you taking additional action
  • Mickey Health will periodically check for updates to your health record
  • You do not need to log in each time for Mickey Health to receive updates

How to Revoke Access

You can stop Mickey Health from accessing your health information at any time. There are two ways to revoke access:

  1. Through Mickey Health: Use the disconnect or revoke access feature in the Mickey Health app settings
  2. Through MyChart: Log in to your MyChart account, navigate to "Account Settings" or "Connected Applications," find Mickey Health in the list, and revoke its access

Once you revoke access, Mickey Health will no longer be able to retrieve new information from your MyChart account.

Not for Emergencies

Mickey Health is not designed for emergency situations and should never be used in place of emergency medical services.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (in the United States) or your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Mickey Health or any health app for urgent medical needs.

Not Medical Advice

Mickey Health does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app is designed solely to help you view and organize your existing health information.

Always consult with your healthcare provider before making any medical decisions. Do not use Mickey Health as a substitute for professional medical advice or care.

Data Availability Depends on Your Health System

The health information available through Mickey Health depends entirely on what your health system makes available through its Epic FHIR API. This means:

  • Not all health information from your medical record may be available through the FHIR API
  • Different health systems may provide different types of data
  • Some information in your MyChart account may not appear in Mickey Health
  • Certain sensitive information may be excluded by your health system's policies

Potential Data Limitations

Mickey Health displays health information as it is provided by your connected health systems. Please be aware of the following limitations:

  • Incomplete data: Some hospital visits, tests, or procedures may not be included in the FHIR data feed
  • Delayed updates: There may be a delay between when information is added to your medical record and when it appears in Mickey Health
  • Data accuracy: Mickey Health does not verify or modify the data provided by your health system. If you notice errors, contact your healthcare provider to correct your medical record
  • External records: Health information from providers or health systems not connected to your MyChart account will not appear in Mickey Health

Confirm Important Information with Your Care Team

Before making any important clinical decisions based on information displayed in Mickey Health, you should confirm the details with your healthcare provider or care team. This is especially important for:

  • Medication dosages and instructions
  • Lab result interpretations and reference ranges
  • Upcoming procedures or appointments
  • Diagnosis information
  • Treatment plans and care instructions
